👋 Hey Friends
I don’t know about you, but I am very prone to falling into a state of “paralysis by analysis” when faced with decisions I have to make in my life.
I spend countless hours digging and researching insights, ideas and perspectives from wise people who’ve been there and done that.
All their advice is entirely different, sometimes outright contradictory to each other (or even to themselves in the past), but sounds perfectly reasonable in its own right. Given their mental and physical constitution, perhaps it was the wisest course of action in that time and place.
But how do I know if their advice is right for me? I’m placed in an entirely different point in time and space, with unique physical and mental faculties, standing on familiar grounds only on the exploration of a question and its right course of action.
The widespread notions of materialism and herd mentality that have seeped into nearly every form of content you and I consume do not help. It’s the blind leading the blind – both are destined to fall into the darkest pits of unconsciousness and inauthenticity.
So are we doomed to falling short of our ideals? The majority are; the sheep will be sheep. But not the wise.
The wise know that the answers to their most profound questions lie not outside of themselves but within. Clouds of ignorance, judgement and indecision may loom over the radiant sun, but it shines all the same.
Blow them away with winds of relentless action and bask in what remains.
Have a fantastic weekend! 🌞

A must-read if you’re on the lookout for a higher purpose or calling in life and open to making radical changes to your life in that pursuit.

🎤 Podcast – This episode from the Tropical MBA podcast acts as an excellent warning poster for those of us who have fallen in love with the idea of early retirement through the cult of the FIRE movement and why it may be a band-aid solution to a much deeper problem.
🐦 Tweet – I had to bookmark this one from Naval Ravikant. If you work in tech like me and plain-jane web development doesn’t cut it for you anymore, this is a reminder that a revolution is coming that is far more compelling, and you can be a part of it.
